Frequently Asked Wedding and Event Questions about West Point Farms Event Center

How many can you accommodate?                                                                                            The grotto ceremony site can accommodate up to 100 seated guests. The Pavilion can accommodate receptions up to 275 guests. If you are planning for a larger group, an open field is available for a rented tent.

Do you have an inside venue for the ceremony?

Yes, for a wedding of 20 or less, a wedding ceremony may be held in the historic 1858 Lodge Gathering room. There are area churches that can be booked and then have your reception in the pavilion. These have to book directly with the church and can be found on our vendor list.

If we book the grotto or pavilion and it rains what happens?

Both of these areas at West Point Farms Event Center are covered.

Do you have inside reception space?

Yes, for small intimate groups of 20 or less, a reception can take place in the Lodge Gathering room.

Do you supply the food or can we bring in our own catering?

You may have your own caterer. Our full kitchen and outdoor grill area may be rented.

Can we have alcoholic beverages?

Yes.

Do you have local businesses that provide event services that you would recommend?

What if I do not use a business from your list will I be charged an additional fee?

No, there are no additional fees from using local businesses that are not on the West Point Farms Event Center list.

Do you provide tables and chairs?

You may bring in your own tables and chairs the day of the rehearsal.

How do we obtain a valid North Carolina marriage license?

A valid North Carolina Marriage License may be obtained by contacting the Registrar of Deeds in Rutherford County at 828-287-6155. The office is located Rutherfordton and is open Monday to Friday, 8:30a.m. – 5:00p.m. The cost for the license is $60.00,and it must be used within 30 days. There is no waiting period, or blood test required. A drivers license or birth certificate and Social Security Card is required for both bride and groom.
